Flat feet pain is affecting your life. It’s causing you to miss out on plans with your family and limiting your physical exercise. Now is the time that you make your feet a priority and start taking care of them. Here are a few treatment options that are available to you when you have flat feet.

Exercises and Stretches

One of the ways to help strengthen your feet is to do specific stretches and exercises. Make sure that you follow directions carefully and that you don’t push your feet too hard. You don’t want to injure yourself even more than you already are.

Orthotics

Arch supports or orthotics are easily accessible and can be affordable. But they are only an external fix that provides a false sense of correction. Orthotics do not target your specific problem because they are more of a “one size fits all” type of treatment.

Injections

For flat feet pain, you have the option to get injections of medications like corticosteroids to help reduce the swelling that you may have in your feet. Like the orthotics, these injections won’t fix the problem only help with the symptoms.

Extensive Reconstructive Surgeries

Your foot specialist may suggest that surgery is what is best for you. These surgeries include cutting and shifting of bones or fusing joints as well as additional soft tissue surgeries. These surgeries are complex, involve an extensive time to heal, and are associated with many potential complications.

HyProCure®

There is a remarkable new treatment called HyProCure® to internally fix the misalignment in your feet. It is common for the ankle bone (the talus) to slip out of place. This misalignment can cause pain in the feet and in your knees, hips and back. HyProCure® is a minimally invasive soft tissue procedure that places a stent into the naturally occurring space between the ankle and heel bones to instantly realign and stabilize your feet and body. The recovery time is faster than the other extensive surgeries listed above which means you will get back to living your life on your feet faster.
